If you're bringing the kids, a trip to SHARC (Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center) must be in order. They have water slides, a lazy river, and an obstacle course.
Feeling adventurous? Most people who visit Sunriver also make the trip to a couple famous State Parks in the region - Smith Rock and Crater Lake! Both of these are a must visit during your stay.
There are also many different caves and lava tubes to explore such as the Lava River Cave and Boyd Cave.

In the winter, all the main festivities take place at Mount Bachelor, which is a little over a half hour away by car. There are a few breakfast cafes, but primarily the restaurant scene in Sunriver consists of lunch and dinner spots. Some of favorite establishments here are Brewed Awakenings, Cafe Sintra, Sunriver Brewing Co., and Hola! Sunriver.
Inside Sunriver Village is where you will find a majority of the businesses and restaurants in town. They even have a Starbucks! One. of the more iconic locations in the village is Goody's Chocolate and Ice Cream, an iconic dessert shop. Their Sunriver location is actually the original!

But, if you're looking for a more robust and familiar grocery store - Safeway, Albertons, Whole Foods and more are just a short drive away in Bend.
